Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Disease
Bacterial pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, and the etiological role of infection in autoimmune and chronic conditions among Iraqi patients.
Molecular Diagnostics & Genetics
PCR-based identification, gene microdeletion studies, and molecular markers applied to fertility, parasitology, and disease detection.
Clinical Biochemistry & Biomarkers
Trace elements, enzymes, vitamins, and hormonal markers correlated with renal, thyroid, and metabolic disease.
Oncology & Haematology
Cancer epidemiology in Iraqi populations, haematological effects of chemotherapy, and the microbiota's role in disease progression.
Medical Laser Applications
Laser treatment protocols in dermatology and dentistry, including enamel protection and nanoparticle-assisted therapies.
Radiation & Nuclear Medicine
Occupational radiation exposure, radioactive iodine therapy outcomes, and thyroid diagnostics in clinical settings.

We nurture curiosity and scientific inquiry, encouraging students and faculty alike to pursue meaningful research that advances healthcare knowledge — not as a separate activity reserved for a few, but as part of the everyday academic environment.
That commitment is written into our mission. Through research partnerships, community engagement, and continuous curriculum development, we work to advance the health and well-being of Iraqi society and beyond.
Faculty who publish bring current developments straight into the classroom and laboratory, and senior students are drawn into that work through supervised projects and co-authorship.
