College of Health & Medical Technologies
The College of Health and Medical Technologies was established in the academic year 2018–2019 as an integral part of Al-Farabi University College in Baghdad, Iraq. Founded with the mission of addressing the growing demand for qualified health professionals, the college has rapidly grown into a leading institution in allied health education across the country. Our programs are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, ensuring that our graduates meet the highest national standards.
Spanning eight specialized departments, the college offers bachelor's degree programs in fields that are fundamental to modern healthcare delivery — from medical laboratory sciences and radiological imaging to anesthesia techniques, dental technologies, and rehabilitation sciences. Each department is supported by experienced faculty, modern laboratories, and strong partnerships with teaching hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Baghdad.
Since welcoming its first cohort of students, the college has grown to more than 1,200 enrolled students and has produced over 1,800 graduates who now serve in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions across Iraq. Our commitment to academic excellence, practical training, and ethical professional development positions our graduates as the next generation of health technology leaders in the region.

History & Milestones
College Founded
The College of Health and Medical Technologies was officially established as part of Al-Farabi University College, with an initial offering of four departments and a founding vision of advancing allied health education in Iraq.
First Student Intake
The college welcomed its inaugural cohort of undergraduate students across its founding departments, marking the beginning of a new era in health professions education in Baghdad.
Expanded to 8 Departments
Following rapid growth in enrollment and faculty capacity, the college expanded to its current structure of eight specialized departments, covering a full spectrum of health and medical technology disciplines.
1,000+ Graduates Milestone
The college celebrated a landmark achievement as the cumulative number of graduates surpassed 1,000, with alumni now working in leading hospitals and healthcare institutions across Iraq and internationally.
