About the Department
Cosmetics & Laser
The Department of Cosmetics and Laser Technology was established to meet the rapidly growing demand for qualified aesthetic medicine professionals across Iraq's expanding private healthcare and beauty industry sectors.
Students study the scientific foundations of skin biology, dermatology, laser physics, and aesthetic procedures — gaining both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills required to operate safely and effectively in clinical and cosmetic settings.
The programme covers a broad spectrum of treatments including laser therapy, chemical peels, microneedling, hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and cosmetic injectables — all taught under the supervision of experienced clinical and academic staff.

A Message from the Head of Department
Aesthetic medicine is one of the fastest-growing fields in healthcare globally, and Iraq is no exception. Our department was built on the conviction that this field demands the same rigour, ethics, and clinical discipline as any other branch of medicine. We teach our students not just how to operate laser devices and perform aesthetic procedures — but how to do so safely, responsibly, and with genuine care for their patients. I am proud of the standard we have set and the reputation our graduates are building across Iraq's aesthetic medicine sector.
Chemical peels, microneedling, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency, and skin resurfacing modalities.
Safety & Regulations
