About the Department

Medical Laboratory Techniques

The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques started accepting students in 2018–2019, where the department awards a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology and qualifies its holder to work in medical and health centres.

Seeking to deliver the up-to-date information and knowledge to our students through distinguished, qualified and experienced academic staff, studying in modern laboratories and practising in teaching hospitals, students will acquire experiences that mimic reality.

The programme prepares specialised staff to serve various medical specialties such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing — producing graduates who are ready to contribute to Iraq's healthcare system from day one.
